More and more the various incidents that happen at school cause us as parents to wonder what will happen next. Even the little ones at the elementary school are not safe within the facility as the little ones target their fellow schoolmates. The school does not have to be large for an incident to occur; They injury, beat upon them or even teach them to do rude things. This thought was triggered by an incident that recently took place in a multigrade school.
I was told by a principal that one of his students came and reported to him that a fellow student came into the bathroom that he was using, peered inside and took his photograph using a cellphone while he was on the toilet. He cried. He was offended by this act and felt humilated and sadden. Imagine, why would a 9 year old want to invade his fellow schoolmate privacy ? Would you have thought that children would be so cruel to each other?
The issue of cellphones come to the fore and how it can be misused. Should a child this age have cellphone at school? I know this can stimulate a lot of discussions which can be plausiable but is it wise for a youngster to have such an instrument to cause such stir?
